As far as I can tell, Slovenian ladies are easy to please. If you’re respectful and polite, you should have no trouble getting dates, but these tips might help:
- Look up the basics in Slovenian. Be careful with automated translations, but you can rely on them for simple phrases and endearments. Luckily, most young Slovenians know English pretty well, and the country doesn’t invest in translating American movies.

I had a 12-hour layover in Ljubljana and decided to wander the city in hopes of putting my research on how to meet Slovenian girls to good use. I chatted with a couple of uni students in a coffee shop, but none seemed interested in exchanging phone numbers or Instagram profiles. They were happy enough to chat and flirt, but they laughed at me when I asked about staying in touch. It turned out they didn’t believe a tourist would want anything serious.
If you want to avoid the tourist label, avoid tourist traps and focus on locations and establishments that locals frequent. Even if you don’t know Slovenian, you’ll have better luck getting dates than anywhere tourists congregate.
